Meg and Cullen
Met at the beloved Franky Cabin in the White Mountain National Forest on a leadership training trip with the New Hampshire Outing Club in October 2013. They continued to run into each other at various UNH parties and connected over tales of hiking in the Green Mountains, skiing at Stratton Mountain, a love of science and nature, and listening to WEQX radio, The Real Alternative, which broadcasted in their respective hometowns. The following February, drinking PBRs and watching Supertroopers during a wild New Hampshire blizzard, they decided to make it official!
Since then, Meg and Cullen have had countless adventures. In 2017, after graduating from UNH, they moved across the country to Oregon and started careers in forestry and GIS. They attended some awesome concerts, bought cool new cars, sampled many craft beers, ate many pints of ice cream, roadtripped, walked on beaches, soaked in hot springs, jumped in lakes, camped, hiked, backpacked, and both downhill and cross-country skied throughout the Western US and Canada, often times with the company of their wonderful friends and family. Needless to say, from epic powder days at Mt. Bachelor to lazy days at home, they love each other and their life together in Oregon.
In May 2024, Meg and Cullen took a trip to Switzerland to visit friends, hike, sightsee, and eat fondue. On a trip to Laurbratten in the Swiss Alps, Cullen found a beautiful view, got down on one knee, and popped the question, and of course Meg said βYES!β.
A few months after the their engagement, Meg got a new job so they could relocate to Bend, OR, the mountain town of their dreams. They also welcomed Cabot, a silly little American Eskimo puppy, into their family. They are looking forward to celebrating their decade of love with everyone who has supported them and the many more years of good times to come!
